My Approach to Counseling Includes
Neuro-Informed Interventions
As a counselor, my approach is rooted in the understanding that the brain and body are deeply connected to how we think, feel, and experience the world. I offer neuron-informed counseling
—a gentle, science-backed way of working with your nervous system to support emotional healing, resilience, and meaningful change.
Whether you're navigating anxiety, trauma, stress, or simply feeling disconnected, I work collaboratively with you to help calm the nervous system, increase self-awareness, and develop healthier patterns—mentally, emotionally, and physically.
Trauma Informed Counseling
Being trauma-informed means we will do more than just talk about your story—we will hold it with care. My approach recognizes that trauma impacts not only thoughts and emotions, but also the body, nervous system, and sense of identity.
It means together we:
Honor your pace—you’re always in control of your healing
Prioritize emotional and physical safety
Validate your experiences, even those that feel “too small to count”
Understand that symptoms like anxiety, shutdown, or self-doubt are survival responses—not personal failures
EMDR Therapy
EMDR Therapy is a powerful, evidence-based approach to healing the emotional wounds that often live beneath the surface of anxiety, depression, and chronic stress.
I use EMDR to help clients gently process painful memories and stuck beliefs—without needing to relive every detail. This approach allows the brain and body to complete what trauma interrupted, creating space for greater calm, clarity, and self-trust.
Whether you're navigating recent stress or long-held trauma, I offer a supportive space where healing happens at your pace, with deep respect for your story and nervous system.
